BHP on KDKA

We had the pleasure of meeting reporter, Alexandra Todd of KDKA at a recipient’s house this month.

We chose the home of Mary Alice because she is very special to us! We met her, her husband & son last year and have provided services to them a few times since our initial project. She graciously agreed to do the interview & open up her home for filming.

On site was our director of operations, Brenda Cischke, along with volunteers, Sylvia & Lisa, & my daughter, Dakota, who filmed all the behind the scenes that day.

Alexandra was such a sweetheart to work with! Fun fact: she is a one woman show! She drove up in the KDKA vehicle, got out with her phone, mic and tripod. She told me that she films & edits all of her own segments-how impressive! She first interviewed myself, then Mary Alice & filmed some shots afterwards to use for the piece to air on the news.
